The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for driving Brainshark’s content and social media marketing strategies. In this role, you’ll be writing regular blog posts and delivering copy for other creative assets such as eBooks, video scripts, email campaigns and web promotions. This position reports to the Senior Content & Programs Manager.

We are looking for a versatile marketer and a strong writer with a knack for developing high-quality content for a variety of channels; a strong understanding of inbound marketing strategies and tactics; and a passion for social media and engaging with key audiences.

  • Responsible for the growth, development and day-to-day management of the Brainshark Ideas Blog
  • Be our in-house reporter: write and edit blog posts regularly, identify new blog content opportunities, maintain our editorial calendar, hit deadlines and maintain schedules
  • Be a sponge: become an expert in our topic areas as well as our product, stay up-to-date on the latest trends, news and what experts and analysts are saying
  • Develop original, credible content in support of inbound, demand generation, sales enablement, and other key initiatives
  • Forge relationships with internal and external thought leaders in the sales enablement space for potential content and social media collaborations
  • Help drive traffic and awareness for Brainshark content through effective web practices and SEO
  • Administer the website CMS, including blog publication and minor webpage updates
  • Manage day-to-day social media activities to increase Brainshark’s brand presence and visibility across multiple platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
  • Monitor and measure blog and social media performance and its impact on the overall marketing objectives and be proactive about spotting trends and communicating them to the team
  • Be the internal social media expert: work cross-functionally to drive social media engagement and educate Brainshark employees on tips and best practices
  • Attend local marketing/industry events to gather knowledge, promote Brainshark and form relationships with industry experts and practitioners

Skills and Requirements:

•2-4 years in online publishing or B2B content marketing

•Background in journalism and editorial a major plus

•Proven experience in writing and creating content for sales/marketing audiences is also a plus

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as accuracy and attention to detail

•Strong social media footprint with experience marketing with Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube

•Experience writing for the web with an appreciation for SEO best practices

•Ability to quickly understand and articulate Brainshark’s capabilities, value proposition, and key messages

•Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously

•Self-motivated, highly driven, independent, challenges the status quo

•Bachelor’s Degree required

This is a full-time position at the company’s headquarters in Waltham, MA.
