Datto’s Product Marketing team is looking for a seasoned Technical Content Manager/Writer to create, ideate, and deliver product-centric, technical marketing content for all Datto products. You will have worked in a B2B writing role, be intimately familiar with IT infrastructure and technology, and have familiarity with the Managed Services Provider channel and how it provides IT services to the SMB market. Additional experience developing software documentation, working as a journalist for the IT space, or another technical writing role is a plus. Working closely with the Product Marketing team, you will develop written technical content that articulates the value of Datto’s products to the market and contributes to sales and overall awareness of the business. Partnering with a diverse team of product management, engineering, product marketing, channel marketing, sales, and business development professionals, you will develop content in multiple formats to position and describe Datto products and technologies. You will report to the VP Product & Growth Marketing. Does This Describe You: You have a passion for technology. A Look Inside the Job: Ideate, create, and provide content (including eBooks, blog content, market-facing materials, etc.) that aligns with the product and go-to-market strategies Interview key internal and external experts to develop content for a variety of channels, promoting the value and demonstrating a deep technical acumen for Datto products Produce high-quality content appropriate for its intended audience and channel Be a recognized expert in the communication of complex technical topics, product capabilities, and competitive differentiators Partner with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product including product positioning and messaging Seek opportunities to create content that articulates Datto’s technical acumen Assist other team members in reviewing and enhancing content to ensure technical details are communicated About You: Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in business or technology field Five years minimum experience in technical writing or marketing for enterprise software Working experience in technical writing of hardware and software topics Ability to deliver high-quality content, paying attention to detail and the value the technology provides to partners and end-users Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures Basic familiarity with SDLC and software development, hardware appliances, and IT Excellent written skills in English At Datto, we believe our employees are our greatest asset and offer all full-time employees a wide-ranging benefits package, including: Comprehensive health-care benefits Free lunch every Friday Flexible paid time off policy Free food, drinks, and fresh organic fruit Fitness reimbursement Charity match program Transit subsidy in select cities Education reimbursement And more!
